ISCHIA SERIES

These yachts were built following 30’s boats luxury standards. A lot of amateurs became their “sailing careers” on this kind of boats.
Ischia series (16 mt) was built respecting the maximum dimension allowed by the Italian law, consenting the navigation with just one good mariner as crew.
The inner furniture respected long cruise neediness, giving the boat success and fame.
It represented and still represents a good investments, Worthing 46 millions Lira in 1963 and 63 milions Lira 2 years later.
Today’s evalutation for this restored boat could arrive at more than 300.000 euros.
16 M models differs from others Ischia’s for a living fly bridge, then copied from motorboat producers from all over the world; this series counts 13 exemplars, 4 in Italy, 8 in USA and 1 in Argentina.
Baglietto started the 16-M production in 1965 with Philira, ending it with Girolata, burnt before the launch in 1967.
